Newday
2 - 7 August
Newday is aimed at 12-19 year olds, which means those currently in school year 7 upwards although there is also a teaching stream for students and those in their twenties and Kids work for younger ones.
Last summer, a number of people from The Crown went to Newday. It was a chance to get together with around 6ooo other young people and encounter Jesus, be changed by Him and go on outreach projects in Derby serving the community.
As well as the young people going along, some slightly older people went to Newday to serve. Hannah Terry was one of those people and she had this to say:
“I was working with the 12-14 year olds. It was hard work but amazing. Everyone was so friendly and enthusiastic about being there. It was great to get to know people from The Crown better and I came away closer to God. It was definitely worth going to”.

Prayer Meetings
Join us on the second Sunday of every month to pray and meet with God. We meet at King Edward VI School Pavilion between 8 and 9:30pm. These are great times of dynamic prayer, worshipping, encountering, hearing from, and being changed by God.
And if that's not exciting enough, we also hold a weekly Prayer meeting on Tuesday mornings from 6:30-7:30am.
